Golden A' Design Award Winner Transforms Lisbon Office Space

The Sabrab Office is a marvel of interior design, with its unique properties setting it apart from conventional office spaces. Despite having only two windows, the office benefits from the abundant Lisbon light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. The challenge of the square-shaped space, divided into small areas, was met with creativity and innovation. The design team created an open workspace, supplemented by two individual cabinets and a meeting room, all within an 11x11 meter area.

The design of the Sabrab Office is characterized by irregular geometric shapes, distinct ceiling, and floor textures. These elements break away from the traditional office floor plan, offering a fresh and modern aesthetic. The use of glass ensures privacy for workstations, while an informal touch is added with a designated play area. This balance between work and play fosters a positive and productive environment for all team members.

Realizing this design required the use of noble materials of Portuguese origin, such as white marble, glass, and concrete. The choice of materials not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the office but also pays homage to Portuguese craftsmanship. The design process, which began in January 2018 and concluded in March of the same year, was carried out entirely in Lisbon, Portugal.
